Stone Garden (or Bagh-E Sangi), a Sirjan tourist attractions, is a mysterious garden with fruits made of stone, which is located about 40 km from Sirjan, Iran. The creator of this garden, Darvish khan, has been deaf and dumb since birth. He planned to build this garden for protesting against wrong plans of Pahlavi’s land reforms that resulted to destruction of trees. After the trees in his garden died, he began digging holes in the dry ground and extensively planting dead trees in these pits. When the planting of 180 dried trees was over, he began hanging stones from the branches of the trees that looked like fruit.

One of the amazing things is that there is no stone close to the garden and he has no equipped device for drilling the stones. He carried the big stones from the mountains and hanged them to the dead trees. Darvish Khan passed away in 2007 and his tomb is close to his garden.
